The Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board (TALCB) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Eichelberger and Lisa Rodriguez to the Appraisal Management Company (AMC) Advisory Committee with terms to expire in January 2021.  The Vice-Chair of TALCB, Martha Gayle Reid Lynch, will continue to serve as the chair of the AMC Advisory Committee. This Committee advises the Board on all matters related to the regulation of Appraisal Management Companies.

The 2019 Legislative Session concluded on May 27. With over 7,000 bills filed by legislators, this session was a busy one.  While the Agency’s primary focus this session was on our Sunset legislation, we did keep our eye on the progress of several bills that could have impacted the Agency in one way or another.

The Board met for its regular quarterly business meeting on Friday, May 17^th and we had an extensive and important agenda.  We heard progress reports from all of our committees, each of which had met since our last regular meeting in February, some more than once. Enforcement, Budget, Education and Executive all had very productive working sessions. The agency is making steady progress on several key issues and we are so grateful for the members who offer extra time and effort to advance our mission.
