Details on ACE Course Completion

The Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board adopted rules and procedures to facilitate online renewals through TexasOnline. As part of the process, appraisers must submit copies of ACE course completion documents to the TALCB to renew the appraiser license or certification.

All licensees who are renewing will be required to provide "copies of all transcripts or course certificates or continuing education forms issued by educational providers" for ACE claimed. Other information also may be required if "determined to be appropriate by the board."

ACE course completion documents, including, but not limited to:

• 28 hours of acceptable courses which must include a minimum of 7 hours of acceptable USPAP;
• courses/seminars must be taken within two years of current certification expiration date;
• course/seminars may not repeated within a three year period.

Certifications will not be issued until the required documentation has been received and reviewed for acceptability. Those who wait until the last minute will find themselves un-certified for a period of time, so plan ahead!
